How Diferevents transformed a 10 year partnership into a masterclass of circular design and brand legacy at Seafood Expo Global.

The Power of a Long-Term Vision

In the fast-paced world of international trade shows, true success isn’t measured in days, but in decades. At Diferevents, we are incredibly proud to celebrate over ten years of partnership with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

Since 2016, we have been the trusted partner in bringing their vital mission of ocean and aquaculture sustainability to life at the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona.

Evolution Through Circular Design
One of the core values of our partnership is a commitment to the planet. While many exhibitors build and discard, Diferevents and our partners at MSC/ASC follow a 3-year renewal cycle. This strategic approach allows us to:

  • Innovate Responsibly: We deep-dive into a full design overhaul every three years to keep the brand’s presence cutting-edge.
  • Structure Reuse: Between these major updates, we strategically reuse high-end structural elements and modular components.
  • Reduce Waste: By giving structures a second and third life, we drastically lower the carbon footprint of each event, aligning the physical booth with the sustainability goals of the organizations.

The Iconic Circular Arch: A Symbol of Continuity
If you have visited the MSC & ASC stands over the last decade, you will recognize the iconic circular overhead arch. While the technology, lighting, and materials have evolved significantly from our first build in 2016 to the current 2026 edition, this architectural element remains the “heart” of the design.

It represents the interconnectedness of our oceans and the “Blue Revolution” that MSC and ASC lead globally. It serves as a recognizable beacon for attendees navigating the busy halls of Fira Barcelona.

A Journey Through Time: 2016 to 2026
2016 – The Foundation: Our first collaboration established a clean, open-concept aesthetic that set a new standard for institutional pavilions.

2020-2021 – The Global Pause: Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our teams stayed in close contact, reimagining how high-traffic spaces could be safer and more interactive.

2022 – The Great Return: We returned with a focus on natural textures and enhanced digital storytelling, welcoming the industry back to Barcelona.

2026 – The Future of Sustainability: This year’s stand is our most efficient yet, utilizing 100% LED integration and a layout optimized for high-level B2B networking.

A Sincere Thank You
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the teams at MSC and ASC. Thank you for your trust since 2016 and for allowing us to be your local experts in Spain. Your commitment to the environment inspires us to push the boundaries of what sustainable exhibition design can achieve.
